In The Night Watch

Mabel is a young girl who sits by her window every evening at sunset. She watches as the sky grows dark and her small village goes to sleep. And every evening Mabel watches her daddy leave for work. Mabel's daddy is the watchman and it's his job to stand guard in the dark and protect the village.

But one night her daddy is too sick to go to work, and that's when Mabel does a very brave thing-she volunteers to replace him! What Mabel doesn't realize is how lonely a watchman's job can be (and even a little scary), especially when it's almost morning and an enemy army is coming to invade her village! Will Mabel be able to warn the villagers in time?

Follow Mabel through her night watch. Discover how God provides everything she needs to do a watchman's job. Beautifully illustrated with vibrant colors and vivid details, this engaging story for young readers will quickly become a bedtime favorite!

The Love Remembered Series

A Day To Remember

Julia Kelly has always been content living on her family’s quiet farm in the mountains of New Hampshire. That is, until her mother dies while giving birth to her brother, Alfred. Suddenly, Julia’s world turns on end. While still recovering from loss, Julia feels betrayed when her dad marries the infant’s nurse Blanche, hires the McGraths to run the farm, and sends her away to the Kimball Academy for Girls. There, Julia is thrust into the unfamiliar world of high society while being groomed for marriage. Torn between two worlds, Julia decides to leave the farm behind where DJ McGrath, frustrating and sarcastic, is the man she can’t seem to forget, to fall into the arms of Jonathan Ashcroft, educated and wealthy, but hiding a dark secret. Set in the 1920s, Julia’s values and identity are tested as she navigates her way through gala balls, speakeasies, and the one night she can’t take back.
A Day To Remember is perfect for anyone who loves to get swept up in a good romance. It features strong women, fallible characters, and their struggles to find where they belong and needing God’s redemption and forgiveness to do it. It is a story of hope and happy endings!

A Night To Remember

It's the day after Julia Kelly McGrath's wedding, and she and her husband, DJ, have left her family's farm in the mountains of New Hampshire to begin their new life at the Great Moose Lodge. With the man she loves and a baby on the way, Julia believes she has everything.
Located in the wilds of Canada, Julia and DJ join their best friends, Izzy and Peter, along with the camp staff in catering to the ultra-rich. Providing guides and trackers, wealthy adventurers are led on hunting and fishing expeditions during the day and enjoy high stakes poker and DJ's moonshine whiskey at night. What no one knows is that within weeks of the lodge opening, the world is going to be rocked by stock market crashes and the beginning of the Great Depression.
At first, isolated from much of what's happening around them, life at the lodge feels safe. But when their friend Esther arrives, devastated by her husband's suicide, the friends begin to realize they can no longer hide from the realities of the Depression.
Join Julia and DJ as their love is tried when a past suitor finds them in the wilderness, crazy schemes take them back to a deserted castle, betrayal puts friendships to the test, and a devastating accident occurs that could cost Julia everything. Will she retreat to the security of the farm, or will she fight after the one day she can't take back?
A Night to Remember is a story of hope that will have readers falling in love with Julia and DJ all over again. Through their struggles, the heart of a faithful man and the wisdom in God's design for marriage is revealed. This is a story of resilience and determination, but it's also a reminder that happy endings do exist, and love never fails.

ABOUT NANCY

Screenshot_20250606_191751_Gallery_edited_edited_edited.jpg

Nancy Haack has always loved romance. From the time she was a young girl playing date night with her Barbies, to sketching fashion models (all while having a running dialogue between the ladies and gents she was drawing), to devouring Victoria Holt novels as a teen. When asked her favorite genre of movies, it's always romantic comedies, especially The Princess Bride. So, when a time came that she was invited to join a local writer's group, she jumped in with pen ready and a lifetime of characters ready to hit the page.

Growing up in a small town in Connecticut, Nancy has always appreciated the simplicity and community that can be found there. So, it's no wonder that as an adult she and her husband chose to raise their two daughters in another small town. And while many people find a path and follow it most of their lives, Nancy has had the luxury of pursuing her many talents and dreams in a biography that reads like one of the books she loves.

Trained as a children's illustrator, she has painted everything from classroom size murals to children's picture books. Along the way to her first novel, she has worked as a face painter, balloon twister, and caricaturist. And even had the chance, twice, to face paint for Ringling Bros. red carpet events in NYC!

But it's her commitment to family and her faith that shines through in her writing.
